Meet the Car Insurance for Generation Now.
一
From the scenic backdrop of rolling hills and wide-open prairies to the frenzied excitement of the Indianapolis Speedway, Indiana may be famous for its beauty, its corn fields, and its world-class racing — but don’t let lower premiums on car insurance policies pass you by. Indiana is known as the ‘Crossroads of America’ and, indeed, drivers are at a crossroads for how to select the right car insurance for them.
COOL FACTS
If you buy the minimum auto insurance coverage required in Indiana, you can expect to pay an average annual premium of about $354. But even a minimum insurance rate can skyrocket across the state if you’re a young driver, have an infraction, have a lower credit tier, and/or live in a more expensive city. Of course, many drivers also prefer to have insurance with more coverage in case of an accident; the average annual premium across the state is about $1,203 — which is the 48th lowest of all states. A variety of vehicles share the road in Indiana — including large farm equipment as well as horse-drawn buggies. State laws require buggies to use four-way flashers between sunset and sunrise. Drivers should keep a safe distance and be patient. Don’t honk the horn as horses can easily get startled and even pull the buggy straight into oncoming traffic. From the Indy 500 to foodie faves and natural beauty, Indiana has much to love — but the state also has an impressive collection of quirky roadside attractions that include the Future Birthplace of Captain Kathryn Janeway in Bloomington (the future Star Trek captain is said to be born here in 2336), the World’s Largest Ball of Paint in Alexandria, the Giant Lady’s Leg Sundial in Roselawn, and the Dan Quayle Vice Presidential Museum in Huntington.
