When we designed Novo, we set out to create a new kind of auto insurance company.  

Novo is context-based insurance using artificial intelligence techniques powered by telemetry data, behavioral data, and spatial data. Because in a digital age where it’s possible to know exactly how every person drives, it’s possible to also provide insurance for people who drive right. 

Through greater access to data (car data, road data, neighborhood safety data, and driver data), we can leverage AI technology to automate decision-making.  

Novo is a simple, easy, consumer-first, out-with-the-old and in-with-the-new car insurance company. Our goal is to allow you to shop rates, receive a quote, and bind your new auto policy in a few easy steps — all from your mobile device.  

We’re all on our phones practically every minute of the day. Studies have shown that an overwhelming amount of us sleep with our cell phones nearby. We wake up to the alarms that ring on our cells and then fall asleep while on our phones (perhaps scrolling through social media or by getting a sleep reminder alert). It’s only natural that we want to be able to access our insurance on our phones as well. 

After all — we never know where or when a collision can occur, but it’s doubtful we’ll ever be a mere reach away from a desktop computer. Should the need arise, view an accident checklist on our app to be sure you’re covered, even as you’re filing a claim on the app and talking to a representative (over chat or a voice call). You can also access ID cards and purchase coverage on the app too. 

But the Novo app isn’t just a use-in-case-of-emergency channel.   We wanted to make you a safer driver as well. That’s why we’ve set up real-time alerts that will offer safer driving routes and insights on vehicle security. We’ll share all available security information so that with our app, you can also:   

• Be informed of any crime or risk conditions on your route 

• Keep you informed of any nearby vehicle break-ins 

• Understand ever-changing traffic conditions 

• Stay up-to-date on the weather — which can affect your drive 

As a techno-forward company, we’re always about the future.
