Novo Launches Car Insurance in Ohio for Generation Now

#BUCKEYESTATE

Holy Toledo, Ohio — we’re thrilled to announce we’ve rolled into the neighborhood and are boarding the (insured) CBus to check out Cincy, the always rockin’ Cleveland, Dayton, Canton, Akron, Parma, and every square inch of this state that’s at the heart of it all.

Of course, it only makes sense Ohio’s our next state to launch Novo Insurance… since it’s often said that all roads lead to you, with about half the country’s population living within a 500-mile radius of the state.

You’re a state that does things your way. You’ve created your own special kind of chili (the more cheese the better), gave us Superman and LeBron James (or are they kinda the same person?), the traffic signal (saving us from billions of car accidents over the years), self-starting car engines (saving drivers from needing to manually crank their engines) — and you’re even the state that sold the first-ever car insurance policy in the nation.

We love your spirited ingenuity, your cool vibe, and the way you let your unique flag fly — quite literally. As the only state with a flag not in a rectangular shape, but in the shape of a bungee, you’re always one for standing out and standing up.

So do we.

Novo is revolutionizing car insurance

Novo offers techno-charged car insurance with premiums priced with precision.

The world runs on technology. But insurance has been stuck for over a century, creating premiums based entirely on somewhat arbitrary notions like where you live, if you went to college, and if you’re married.

Novo is changing the game that Ohioans first created back in 1897. After more than 125 years, we think it’s time to upgrade the model and give auto insurance some main character energy. We want to ensure that your car insurance not only protects you after a collision… but can even help prevent you from ever getting into one in the first place.

Guided by our parent company, Telenav, we’ve been at the forefront of merging tech and automotive since 1999. This makes Novo uniquely positioned to deliver informed, context-based insurance to all Ohioans.

Low premiums, safer roads for us all

Novo uses artificial intelligence techniques powered by data (telemetry data, behavioral data, and spatial data) to create coverage that’s tailored to you — how you drive, how you stop your car at an intersection, how safely you make turns, and more.

So the safer you drive, the lower your premiums start… and stay.
